Final Fantasy VII MV Windowskin
A downloadable window skin
A free Final Fantasy VII themed window-skin for RPG Maker MV!
Free for use in any project, free or commercial (just consider letting me know, and crediting "Ethan Fox" in your asset credits). Hope this is useful for people!
I'll be posting more free assets in the future, so follow me if you want to keep up with those! Also, check out Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, my graphic adventure/VN!
More Info & Instructions
It’s not a perfect replica. RPGMMV will run at varying resolutions, and even using the eye-dropper tool to get the colours, the end result comes out a bit different, but it’s a decent enough facsimile.
It has the slightly bevelled-off corners, and uses the same colour scheme for both the background and the border.
To use it, simply…
- Download the windowskin image file
- Locate your RPG Maker MV project
- Navigate to the img/system folder
- Make a safe copy of your “window.png” file which contains the default window-skin
- Save this new skin as window.png
- Run your game!
This won't change your font, but that's trickier as FFVII's font was designed specifically that resolution, so it's difficult to make an exact replica. Still, even with the default MV font, this looks pretty good!
This is FREE TO USE in your RPG Maker projects; even commercial ones, though please consider adding “Ethan Fox” to your asset credits (and drop me a line if you can!).

Not bad.... not bad. Looks just like the ff window.
(I've always been a big fan of the series and I've always wanted to make a game like it!)
That is pretty cool.
